A green cloak runs through darkened streets and alleyways. Between large, black buildings the roads are lit only by pale, cloudless moonlight and signs of life from beyond windows. Shuffling feet softly rang out from both sides of the glass squares, with blinds blocking either from viewing one another. Where did they run off to? Was all that the cloak could think to himself. Advance sensors flipped between multiple spectrums of light from the goggles it viewed the world in. Visible, low light, UV, IR, but none showed anyone else along the streets. The cloak briefly humored the idea of even trying the x-ray vision, but that had long since proven to be a useless function in this world. Digital sonar picked up traces of something in the distance. Something he could follow. A small, spherical drone blinks at the cloak. Silent and unnoticed, it followed the runner’s vision until it found the same frequency the strange person was following. Flying off to follow, the cloak looked up and saw

Project Warp Zone: Were they in the game?

Recently some of the people who had disappeared after playing the newest game, Project Warp Zone, had reappeared in strange places near their homes: forests, parks, deserts, and other wildlife areas. We talked to some of these people, and they appeared to have some kind of hallucination. In an interview with one of these missing teenagers, they reported the following: "I can't exactly say. Even if I tried to explain where I was while I was missing- It would be difficult to understand. The only answer I have would only give your questions more questions and would never truly answer them. You would only become just as confused as I am right no

Restart Round 2 Side Quest (Vagrant): Chapter 1

Round 2 Side Quest (Vagrant): Chapter 1 The Job Board It has been a few days or so since the assault on the glitch factory and I was growing both increasingly bored and increasingly frustrated. The normal routine I had been partaking in began to grow boring when I levelled up high enough to easily combat any monster in the general vicinity. I had tried venturing out into the woods a few times, but the Lycans there seemed to have a vendetta against me. Furthermore, the materials required to upgrade Geoffrey seemed to be nowhere in the area. These things motivated me to start the day differently. Upon opening my eyes, I decided I would do

Restart OCT Audition Chapter 1

"C'mon, c'mon..." I muttered under my breath. Things weren't looking well for me.  Beaten within an inch of my life. Enemies surrounding me on all sides. Things were down to the wire. If I didn't watch my step, this would be the end of me. It was so tense that I almost dropped my controller. "Crap!" I spurted, grabbing my controller before it hit the ground, and before I invariably got myself eaten my trolls. Quickly, I mashed buttons, sending slash and spell alike at my foes. It was moments of absolute peril like this that I just had to appreciate the clarity of the graphics. When I first got the game, I was shocked at how much detail wa

Restart Round 1 part 1

John sat across from me sipping a beer he got with my some of my gold.  He continued to stare at me while the announcer talked about the groups and when Mr. Smiles invited both of us to the party John looked at me with that knowing look.  I can't really blame him, as much as I may hate to admit it I am shy and would go through the dungeon with only John.  He knows it's suicide and I know it's suicide, but I would have gone though with that plan if it hadn't been for him.  I accepted Mr. Smiles invitation.  I saw an elf and a Spider follow Mr. Smiles towards a man with a Gatling gun.  I lifted myself up and paused and let out a breath before s

Restart Round Two: Part 1

It had been two weeks since our first mission, and our arrival into the game. Upon returning from our failed attempt at retrieving the amulet (Because a different group of players retrieved it before us), Devin and I went to a nearby Inn to have some kind of shelter to stay at while we were stuck here. I requested a second room because I felt uncomfortable with having to stay stuck with my OC "24/7" so to speak. I wasn't afraid he'd kill me in my sleep or anything like that. I mean, I designed him so that he wouldn't sleep. For reasons only he and I knew of.. During that time, of course, my OC didn't know I had knowledge of this.

Restart Round 3 - Prologue

A Good Night’s Sleep I stood again in the stone hallways of the Westing Alchemy Order. All around me was chaos. Torn red tapestries, crossbow bolts embedded into the walls, and corpses slowly fading to code. I looked down upon myself, through a pair of spectacles. Leather armor, cargo pants, a belt with several equipment pouches. A steampunk-ish crossbow was clenched in my hands. Apparently I was the cause of all the chaos. A hood was pulled over my head in lieu of the normal bowler hat. Even if the clothes and weapons felt different, I still felt like myself. I suppose it was just going to be one of those dreams. Urged by the dream

Restart Round 4 - Prologue

Long Time, No See It had been a long night, one filled with restless half-remembered dreams. Outside dawn was trying to assert itself over the grim grey skyline. I rolled out of bed with a groan, recalling the last time I got this poor a night’s sleep, back when I was in school. “School…” I repeated the word aloud, its sound foreign to me. How long had I been trapped in this wonderland, a week, a month….maybe a year. I’d lost track of the days after the first few missions. For a moment I began worrying what my friends and family would think happen to me. Was I in a coma outside or did I just vanish
